A friend of mine who writes The Hygge Mama Blog recently asked me to write a piece about cozy dressing and what it means to me. Since I work from home during the week (until Dec 2nd, more on that later) and have a toddler I’m constantly in comfy and cozy clothes. Cozy may mean different things to different people but for me, it means clothes I don’t mind getting on the floor in and clothes I can move in. This doesn’t necessarily mean yoga pants! My typical uniform is jeans and a t-shirt. Variations on this are shorts and sleeveless tops in the summer and the addition of sweaters and boots for fall and winter months. Since almost all denim is made with at least 1% elastane I can easily go from sitting at a desk to running errands to playing on the floor with my kid quite easily in jeans. I’ve also found certain brands tend to feel softer than others. Some brands I’ve found to be extra soft and cozy are Hudson jeans and Wildfox sweatshirts, both of which can be found at discount prices at Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls. And with cooler temps approaching, I’m all about a soft sweater and some fuzzy socks!
What’s your favorite cozy brand of clothing? Let me know what you’ve found!
