Hey there fashion-lovers! Sorry I've been absent for a bit...life got a tad busy. I went on vacation and nearly a week later, I'm still trying to get settled. How do people do it? I feel like I'm being pulled in twenty different directions and always trying to get organized! Which is frustrating to me, because overall I'm an organized person...or at least I thought I was! Well, I have a few ideas (calendaring EVERYTHING) and some theories I'm testing (getting up EARLY again) so that I can be more consistent with working out, working, blogging, helping clients and enjoying life! This round of photos was taken towards the end of my "Thirty Day No Shopping Challenge." Both the top and shorts are from last year (hooray!); however the shoes and handbag are new...I did fall off the wagon a little during the month of June. But I did learn some valuable lessons during the spending freeze and plan to continue to curtail spending. Ugh, that's hard even just to write! Anyway, I bought the chambray popover at the end of last summer on super-clearance and have been waiting to wear it this year. Normally, I stick to a strict rule of "looser on top/tighter on bottom" (and vice-versa), but the shorts were just too cute to stay on the hanger any longer! They did get quite a few wears last summer after I literally ran to JCP to buy them after seeing them on one of my favorite bloggers (www.pennypincherfashion.com). Normally I like to pair them with black, to let the pretty lace detail be the statement piece; however, today I was feeling chambray. This top would also look cute with white or black jeans and leopard flats or a maxi-skirt. During the summer months I find myself reaching more for flowy items so that I can breathe. Mama gets warm these days!
